Caramelized pork recipe

Today we’ll discover a very tasty Asian dish that my mom used to cook quite often, the caramelized pork. Often liked by everyone, it is very simple and quite fast to cook. Served with rice and steamed vegetables on the side, it will please all the family.

250g of pork fillet
2tbsp of sugar
1tbsp of light soy sauce
1tbsp of dark soy sauce
1tsp of ground ginger
2tsp of starch
1tbsp of nuoc mam
1tsp of pepper


Slice the pork fillet in small pieces of 2cm by 1cm.

In a bowl mix all the seasoning except the sugar. Keep aside.

In a saucepan, melt the sugar into caramel. When it is nicely brown, add the pork. Mix well until the meat is well coat of caramel. Add the mixed seasoning.

Stir together until the sauce has thickened.

Serve with Thai rice, sprinkle with grilled crushed peanuts and some chives finely cut.
